Green aventurine is a natural stone with a dense, translucent and homogeneous structure. Its color palette ranges from delicate sand to deep dark green.
The handles are decorated with these semi-precious stones in subtle silver-green tones – inspired by light green moss, silver poplars and sage. The discreet color of the aventurine is not aggressive, but appeals with its quiet elegance.
Characteristics and physical properties of green aventurine
Green aventurine is a fine-textured quartzite with a unique structure. Its color, grain size and decorative value are the result of the large number of minerals and their concentration in the stone. The stone owes its characteristic green color to the chromium-containing fuchsite, a rare quartz mineral. Additions of iron, chlorite, hematite, ranite and mica give the stone a gentle shimmer and a delicate brilliance.
With 7 points on the Mohs scale, aventurine is a hard stone. Green aventurine is considered to be highly resistant. Its shell-shaped fracture and its noticeable, slightly rough surface make it unmistakable.
The green aventurine used for the VALENCIA collection comes from Brazil. The stones are carefully cut, faceted and polished to reveal their full elegance in the handles of the fittings.
