Natural variety in its most beautiful state: ‘VALENCIA’ with precious natural stones

Titelbild Joerger Valenica handles nature stones different variations

The introduction of natural stones as an option led the VALENCIA collection become quickly a global bestseller of all the ranges from JÖRGER Design. The collection includes seven unique natural stones that inspire with expressive decors, unusual designs and a variety of patterns.

Due to their natural origin the stones have different physical and functional characteristics even within the same type of stone. Every VALENCIA tap that is customised with a natural stone is an individual masterpiece – a class of one´s own.

VALENCIA natural stone: from consistency to uniqueness

The precious and natural stones for the VALENCIA collection were formed over millions of years by volcanic activity or from marine deposits and geological forces.
But their true beauty is only revealed after manual processing. Here, the often unimpressive and dull stones become true works of art that convince with their unique variety and unique patterns.

VALENCIA taps with natural stones: customised choice of decor

The choice of natural stone requires close consultation with the customer. JÖRGER Design offers interior designers and customers a choice of different options for each tap. These are perfectly coordinated in terms of colour, pattern and alignment to create a unique, unmistakable product.

Aventurine blue has a particularly uniform texture and is characterised by its dark blue appearance with glitter particles throughout the stone.

The shimmering violet Amethyst also has a predominantly homogeneous appearance. Depending on the direction of growth of the crystals and the angle of cut, however, zigzag or arched patterns can be created (see photo in the gallery).

Black Marble and white Turquoise have striking patterns in the form of high-contrast craquelures.

The pearl grey Palissandro Blue marble offers variable patterns that can be striped or wavy, as well as shades of beige, pink and blue and small dots. These characteristics require particularly careful selection of the decoration.

Labradorite has no clear patterns, but fascinates with its iridescent appearance, which ranges from smoky grey to emerald green or light blue. The magical effect is created by the double refraction of the crystals in the stone.

Malachite is a particularly valuable green gemstone with a striking moiré pattern of waves, stripes or irregular spots. The colour spectrum ranges from light green to black-green. The colouring substance of malachite is copper.

The selection of Labradorite and Malachite gemstones is particularly complex, as their appearance is difficult to predict.

Natural stone in the bathroom: properties and practical recommendations

The properties of the natural stones are carefully inspected before they are integrated into the taps. Characteristics such as hardness, porosity and brittleness are examined and, of course, visually inspected.

A slightly rough surface is left on porous stones such as black marble, white turquoise or Palissandro Blue. These stones require special care and are often treated with wax to protect the pores. They are a marine sedimentary stone and consist mainly of calcium carbonate, which is why no lime-dissolving agents should be used when cleaning them.
